About me

POTS

Hi! I’m Jess. I am a college student who has Crohn’s Disease, Asthma, Drug-Induced Lupus (from Humira), Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chronic Migraines, Transient Sleeping Disorder, Arthritis, Gastroparesis, Fibromyalgia, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, and Dysautonomia. Somehow I managed to be the only one in my entire family with an autoimmune disease, and let me tell you, my family is not small. Lucky me… I was diagnosed in June of 2011 at the age of sixteen, but have been experiencing symptoms for much longer. I’ve tried pretty much every drug and diet used to treat Inflammatory Bowel Disease, but I’m still hopeful. I am a frequent coffee drinker, an optimist, a lover of big books and libraries, and an avid travel show watcher. I love all things pumpkin and elephants, and adore British period dramas. Art galleries are cool in my world and I like to think that the general public enjoys museums as much as I. I believe that God has given me this life for a reason, and that it will turn out to be amazing.
